The numerical wave model SWAN is run for a 1 km grid and will be updated twice a week with a 6 day forecast. Wind data is derived from GFS. The forecast is generated for research purposes and for comparison with measured wave parameters. The Marine Institute or Doolin Coast Guard do not guarantee to make model output available on its respective web sites. The predictions should not be used for safety critical applications.Thanks to the Marine Institute for permission to use its data.
